Tennessee Public Safety Training Academies

The Tennessee Public Safety Training Academies Portal is your access to schedules, registration and other information for the TN Law Enforcement Training Academy; TN Fire Service & Codes Enforcement Academy, TN POST Commission and TN Commission on Firefighting. This combined records management approach helps us maintain accurate, complete and accessible lifelong records for law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency responders who complete training classes conducted by either academy and certifications issued in Tennessee. In the future, this site will also have the ability for authorized agency officials to update records, log in-service training for local departments and take on-line certification exams. We hope our customers will find this portal useful as another tool to assist in meeting your training and certification needs.

Tennessee Emergency Management Agency

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency's Training Section mission is to provide the State of Tennessee the best available emergency management training in order to provide the citizens of this state with the most effective and efficient disaster response, recovery, protection, prevention and mitigation capability possible.

TEMA Training focuses on four primary areas: professional emergency management, incident management and incident command, hazardous materials and search and rescue. The focus of TEMA Training is always to support the continued development of local emergency management programs. There is a specific focus and increased emphasis in the realm of emergency operations center operations and on the further development of a cadre of emergency management support team members. Emergency management is either planning, training, exercising (practicing) or responding. The four conditions are critical to success for emergency management and are the foundation to understanding the discipline. Therefore, training is critical to success.
